Highgrove is set on an elevated position on Horsehill, a country lane on the Surrey/ Sussex border, surrounded by
beautiful countryside.
Across the Norwood Hill Ridge and about mile away is the local, The Fox Revived, a great pub that has recently gone
through an extensive renovation and is now a gastro-destination, it also has wonderful views both to the North and the
South Downs.
A few miles to the south and the closest town is Horley, a busy town half way between Brighton and London making it the
perfect location for both commuters and travellers with itts easy access to Gatwick airport and direct train lines to
London. The town offers a variety of shops including a Waitrose supermarket and the traditional, family-run department
store Collingwood & Batchelor.
The historic village of Charlwood lies just to the south of Highgrove and here you will find a vibrant local community
revolving around the local primary school, the country pub The Half Moon and the Norman Church of St Nicholas.
Less than five miles away the neighbouring towns of Redhill and Reigate offer a more cosmopolitan lifestyle, from theatres
and cinemas to bars and restaurants. The Harlequin theatre & cinema in Redhill offers an array of entertainment, whilst
Reigate’s bustling town centre has an impressive range of shops and services, offering the ultimate in retail therapy, upmarket
boutiques and independent restaurants and eateries.
Highgrove is surrounded by fantastic countryside including Glovers Wood which is located on the fringe of Norwood Hill.
It is one of the largest areas of woodland in the Surrey Weald and stretches over to the neighbouring village of Newdigate
The wood contains oak, hazel and birch trees and features historical relics including a medieval bank and ditch system.
During the spring the displays of bluebells and wild garlic are something to behold.
