Raising funds for local charity

Nicola has been tirelessly pounding the pavements of Reigate, Oxted & Lingfield over the past few weeks and delivered nearly 16,000 leaflets. Special Sisters is a unique charity that aims to find a cure for drug resistant epilepsy, a cause very close to Nicola’s heart as her friend has two children that suffer from this, at present, untreatable condition.  Through Facebook and Twitter she teamed up with other similar local charities including Help for Issac and Hear the Heartbeats to assist carrying out this herculean task.   Nicola’s final day delivering for Robert Leech was in Lingfield yesterday and said of the experience,

‘believe it or not I actually enjoy doing it!  And when I get a bit weary I remember how lucky I am that I can walk, hopefully one day Isabelle & Siena will be able to! I am actually taking on some more deliveries, it’s been really lovely getting out while the weathers been good!’

Fingers crossed the weather stays on Nicola’s side and if you see her out and about delivering leaflets do give her a wave, or even better a few pennies on the Special Sisters just giving page.
