Well maybe not, as the folks at Rightmove have informed us that, last year, the visitor figures for Rightmove over the Christmas period saw an increase of 225%:
On the big day itself, instead of sitting down and playing trivial pursuit or watching the Queen’s speech, apparently nearly a million of us were looking at new properties, perhaps dreaming of the perfect family home. As New Year’s day rolled around, the traffic numbers jumped up to nearly 2 million visitors to the site and on the first working day of 2016 over 3 million of us were searching for a new home.
